Shaping a Shared Learning Agenda for Systems Change

Funders and evaluators working on long-term systems change often face questions that resist easy answers: What does meaningful impact look like over time? How can boards and fields learn together in complex, dynamic contexts? What role do foresight, sensemaking, and storytelling play in shared learning? This Birds of a Feather session invites those working in and with philanthropy to explore these tensions and contribute to shaping what the field should learn next about evaluation and learning in system change work. The session will include brief context-setting, small-group dialogue, and opportunities to respond to a draft learning agenda developed by a community of practice (CoP) of foundation learning leaders. Participants will leave with fresh perspectives on how others are navigating complexity—and an open invitation to stay connected in charting the future of learning in systems change.
